Darren J Young, MBEManaging Director
Darren is the Managing Director of Kumul Consolidated Holdings and has many years of senior management experience in property development and related industries within the marine, manufacturing and resource sectors. Born and educated in New Zealand, Darren has worked in Papua New Guinea for over 28 years with both private equity and publically listed companies such as Steamships. He is measured, pragmatic and works collaboratively to find solutions to complex problems. Experience includes exceptional success in managing a mix of businesses and projects driving significant strategic management across commercial, finance and marketing functions. In June 2013, he was awarded as a Member of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to commerce and the community.
Gary SeddonChief Operating Officer
Gary joined KCH in January 2018. He has been actively developing collaborative relationships between the Corporation and the State Enterprises, building capacity in strategic planning centring on yield, efficiency and service delivery. He is also focused on developing and financing opportunities to maximise value, diversity and sustainability. Originally from the UK, Gary has lived and worked in PNG since 1998 and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology and Management from the University of Bradford, UK.
Erastus KamburiGeneral Counsel
Erastus is a senior lawyer with over 26 years of professional practice after graduating with a Law Degree from the University of PNG in 1989. He completed the Victorian Bar Reader in Melbourne in 1998 and has exposure to litigation in the NSW Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and the High Court of Australia as he briefed and worked in collaboration with Barristers and Solicitors in Sydney in contentious litigation cases. He has held and practiced law under an Unrestricted Practicing Certificate from the PNG Law Society since 2002; and is a member of the Lawyers Statutory Committee – a disciplinary arm of the PNG Law Society. He served in a number of organisations as the Head of their respective Legal Divisions – organisations such as PNG Harbours Board, National Superannuation Fund, National Development Bank and Airlines PNG. Erastus has been employed with KCH for over five years. As the General Counsel, he is the principal legal advisor to KCH and oversees all legal matters affecting KCH and the State Owned Enterprises; including commercial, corporate and statutory requirements of these entities.
Cecilia Nonge Kulangil Head of Corporate Services
Cecilia joined KCH in April 2019 as Head of Corporate Services, responsible for HR, IT and Administrative functions. She is a qualified Human Resource Generalist with over 18 years of experience. Cecilia was last attached with a fast paced multicultural and multidisciplinary international organisation operating in Papua New Guinea. Cecilia is well versed in all aspects of Human Resource life cycle and serves as a HR consultant. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organisational Psychology from the University of Papua New Guinea.
